The following directions are easy, quick, and convenient ways to cook Gourmet Puree food using the microwave. Please be aware that each food is prepared differently. Times listed are based on an 1100 watt microwave oven. Microwaves vary. Therefore, times listed may need to be adjusted.

Instructions for cooking Meatloaf in a microwave:

  • Pour a ½ inch of hot water in a pyrex bread pan.
  • Remove meatloaf mold from pouch and float, food-side up, in the pan.
  • Carefully spoon 3-4 tbsp. of cold water on the food.
  • Cover the pan with clear plastic wrap and cook in microwave for 5:40 minutes.
  • Remove pan from microwave and carefully remove the plastic wrap from pan, it’s very hot. Remove mold from the pan and turn the mold upside down on plate. The food should release easily from the mold.
  • The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees.

 

Instructions for cooking Chicken in a microwave:

  • Remove chicken mold from pouch and place, food-side up, in a glass pyrex bread pan.
  • Pour hot water in the pan so that the water is just covering the open-face of the chicken.
  • Cover the pan with clear plastic wrap and cook in microwave for 7:00 minutes.
  • Be careful when removing the plastic wrap from pan, it’s very hot.
  • Remove mold from the pan and turn the mold upside down on plate. The food should release easily from the mold. The internal temperature should reach 165 degrees.

 

Instructions for cooking Lasagna in a microwave:

  • Place 1 tsp. of water on a plate.
  • Remove lasagna from pouch. Then demold by pressing down firmly on all four sides of the mold until the lasagna is released. Place the lasagna on the tsp. of water.
  • Slightly dampen the sides of lasagna with additional water.
  • Cover the food with a lid or another plate and cook in microwave for 2:15-2:30 minutes.
  • The internal temperature should reach a minimum of 135 degrees.

 

Instructions for cooking for Peas in a microwave:

  • Pour 1 inch cold water in a glass pyrex bread pan.
  • Remove mold from pouch.
  • 3. Pour 2 tsp. of water over the open-face of the peas until a pool forms.
  • 4. Let water absorb into the product (about 15 seconds).
  • 5. Then float the mold on top of the water, open-face up in the pan.
  • Cover the pan with clear plastic wrap and cook in microwave for 4:15 minutes.
  • Be careful when removing the plastic wrap from the pan, it’s very hot.
  • Remove mold from the pan and turn the mold upside down on plate. The food should release easily.
  • The internal temperature should reach 135 degrees.

 

Instructions for cooking Broccoli in a microwave:

  • Pour ¾ inch cold water in a glass pyrex bread pan.
  • Remove mold from pouch.
  • Spoon water over the open-face of the broccoli until a pool forms.
  • Let water absorb into the product (about 15 seconds).
  • Then float the mold on top of the water in the pan.
  • Cover the pan with clear plastic wrap and cook in microwave for 4:00 minutes.
  • Be careful when removing the plastic wrap, it’s very hot.
  • Remove mold from the pan and turn mold upside down on the plate. The food should release easily from the mold.
  • The internal temperature should reach 135 degrees

 

Instructions for cooking Corn in the microwave:

  • Pour ¾ inches of cold water in a glass pyrex bread pan.
  • Remove corn from pouch and place the mold, food-side up, in the pan.
  • Submerge the entire corn mold in the water. Then immediately remove from water for 30 seconds.
  • Submerge the entire corn mold again. Then immediately remove from water.
  • Now float the mold on top of water, food-side up.
  • Cover the pan with clear plastic wrap and cook in microwave for 4:30 minutes.
  • Be careful when removing the plastic wrap, it’s very hot.
  • Remove mold from the pan and turn mold upside down on plate. The food should release easily from the mold.
  • The internal temperature should reach 135 degrees.
